Drafter – Millwork

POSITION OVERVIEW

You will be responsible for managing projects from concept to completion and engage with the estimating and planning departments. You will also share quality control assurance responsibilities, site visits, and field measurements. Our ideal candidate is a drafting professional with knowledge of production and value engineering. The responsibilities of this role include analyzing projects to create 2D and 3D shop drawings for production, identifying design problems and provide solutions, and providing e-level of detail on finishes, materials.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 3+ years of related experience in similar business
  • Experience n millwork, industrial design, fabrication processes in materials such as wood, composites, metal and acrylic for temporary and semi-permanent retail pop up shops and experiential events
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in 3D rendering and AutoCAD (OR SIMILAR)
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
  • Impeccable eye for design detail and accuracy

POSITION OVERVIEW

This person will possess the ability to understand materials and process costs and be able to create estimates for various types of work and time frames. To be effective, you must really understand how things are made as well as to — ideally — have “hands on” experience of your own. You will work directly with our VP of Production and will attend meetings in house as well as on site or with clients to fully understand the opportunity. Together you will tailor a given estimate to fit a certain set of project conditions and to be able to find/design an approach to the job despite a tight turn time and also within a strict budgetary framework to reach client goals. You will need to handle multiple requests and to keep them all moving to keep pace with our skilled and prolific sales team. It will be important to distinguish the need for a budgetary estimate versus a detailed, line-item pricing for larger and more challenging projects.

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in a similar setting in a fast-paced
  • Ability to handle job requests under sometimes extenuating circumstances
  • Knowledge of materials including wood, metal, glass, acrylic & other plastics, as well as lighting and signage for retail window and in-store displays and fixtures
  • An understanding of high end and luxury brand quality expectations
  • Must be versatile and solutions oriented

Senior Production Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

In this role, you manage and run custom fabrication projects from concept to completion, while maintaining strict milestone timelines. You will work with the Vice President of Production as well as Account Directors. You will oversee all elements of the production of projects assigned to you and assume 100% ownership of the details including sourcing, purchasing, installation requirements, working to produce 3D renderings, technical drawings, prototypes. This is a super fast-paced environment. Our projects are demanding and can often come to us with tight constraints. REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years’ experience in a production planning role with specific industry related experience dealing with three dimensional custom fabrication projects
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be detail-oriented, dedicated, be reliable, dynamic, enthusiastic
  • Able to stay calm in very high-pressure situations and maintain a positive attitude
  • Able to solve problems on your own and get the job done with good judgment
  • Ability to get a daily ‘to-do’ list crossed off at the end of each day is essential
  • Must have good communication skills, be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team player, accept suggestions and critique
